O supreme and inaccessible Light,
O complete and blessed Truth,
how far You are from me,
even though I am so near to You!
How remote You are from my sight,
even though I am present to Yours!
You are everywhere in your entirety,
and yet I do not see You;
in You I move and have my being,
and yet I cannot approach You.
O God, let me know You
and love You so that I may find my joy in You;
and if I cannot do so fully in this life,
let me at least make some progress every day,
until at last that knowledge, love,
and joy come to me in all their plentitude.

Amen.

Merciful Lord, consoler of the faithful,
we beg of Your great mercy that at our humble entrance
You will visit Your servant, lying on a bed of pain,
just as You visited Simon's mother-in-law.
Kindly come to him (her) so that,
after receiving his (her) former health
he (she) may return thanks to You in Your Church,
who lives and are King and God for ever and ever.

Amen.

O good and dearest Jesus,
I kneel before Your face.
I ask You to place in my heart
more faith, hope and charity.
Give me a true sorrow for my sins
and a strong will to do better.
With great sorrow and grief
I look upon your five wounds
and think about them.
Before my eyes are the words
that the prophet David said of You,
O good Jesus:
"They have pierced my hands and feet
They have numbered all my bones."

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, listen to our prayer.
Give us your grace to be salt and light
at this time of pandemic:
Lead us on the path of courage and kindness.
Assist us to reach out to those in need
to share your Divine Grace
with all those near and dear to us.
This our prayer through
the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Mary, most holy Virgin and Queen of Martyrs,
accept the sincere homage of my affection.
Into your Heart, pierced by so many swords,
you welcome my poor soul.
Receive it as the companion of your sorrows
at the foot of the Cross, on which Jesus died
for the redemption of the world.
With you, O sorrowful Virgin,
I will gladly suffer all the trials,
contradictions, and infirmities
which it shall please Our Lord to send me.
I offer them all to you in memory
of your sorrows, so that:
every thought of my mind
and every beat of my heart
may be an act of compassion and of love for you.
Have pity on me , sweet Mother,
reconcile me to your Divine Son, Jesus;
keep me in His grace and assist me in my last agony,
so that I may be able to meet you in Heaven
and sing your glories.

With these reminders of a resurrection
all about us every day, help us remember
that death is not the end of things for us,
but the beginning.

Help us keep in mind that we shall rise
again on the last day, to live with You forever.
Then there will be no weeping any more,
nor any tears; no suffering, nor any pain,
but joy and happiness and love with You forever.
With You, then, will we celebrate the eternal Easter.
It will be an everlasting spring for us,
if we only realize now that there is no glory
without suffering,no Easter without a Good Friday.
Help us, by Your grace, to live the good lives
that will merit this new life in heaven forever with You.

Amen.

Most holy Virgin and Mother,
whose soul was pierced by a sword of sorrow
in the Passion of Your Divine Son,
and who in His glorious Resurrection
was filled with never ending joy at His triumph,
obtain for us who call upon You,
so to be partakers in the adversities of Holy Church
and the Sorrows of the Sovereign Pontiff,
as to be found worthy to rejoice with them
in the consolations for which we pray,
in the charity and peace of the same Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Dear Lord,
I have been the recipient of so much of your goodness in my life.
Please keep me open my mind and heart to receive whatever grace you wish to give me.

In this time of pandemic, it could be that you are giving me new eyes to see
how much I have been taking for granted in my daily life and how much I have
received without taking notice.

You have given me years and years of blessings.
When my friends and I emerge from this period of isolation, may we
truly treasure each person we know as a gift from You.
I pray, in the name of Jesus.

Amen.

Lord, Your rising from the dead gives the world renewed hope.
Remove the obstacles from my life that keep me
from believing and trusting in the power of Your resurrection.
Through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns forever and ever.

April 12, 2020

O God, through Your only-begotten Son
You have overcome death on this day
and have opened to us the gate of everlasting life;
pursue with Your aid the good resolves
You have inspired, and by Your constant help
make them lastingly effective.

This is the day the Lord has made, Alleluia.
Let us be glad and rejoice in it, Alleluia.

April 11, 2020

All-powerful and ever-living God,
Your only Son went down among the dead
and rose again in glory.
In Your goodness raise up your faithful people,
buried with him in baptism,
to be one with him in the eternal life of heaven,
where he lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

April 10, 2020

O Jesus, who by reason of Your burning love for us
has willed to be crucified
and to shed Your Most Precious Blood
for the redemption and salvation of our souls,
look down upon us here gathered together
in remembrance of Your most sorrowful Passion and Death,
fully trusting in Your mercy;
cleanse us from sin by Your grace,
sanctify our toil, give to us and all those
who are dear to us our daily bread,
sweeten our sufferings, bless our families,
and to the nations so sorely afflicted,
grant Your peace, which is the only true peace,
so that by obeying Your commandments
we may come at last to the glory of heaven.

Amen.

April 9, 2020

God our Father,
we are gathered here to share in the supper
which Your only Son left to his Church to reveal his love.
He gave it to us when he was about to die
and commanded us to celebrate it
as the new and eternal sacrifice.
We pray that in this eucharist
we may find the fullness of love and life.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

Amen.

April 8, 2020

Lord, You are near to those
who are rejected and brokenhearted.
Give me the grace not to give up
when others insult me and tear me down.
Heavenly Father, bless me the strength to realize
that I am important to You and created in Your image.

April 7, 2020

Holy Mary,
help those in need,
give strength to the weak,
comfort the sorrowful,
pray for God's people,
assist the clergy,
intercede for religious.

Mary bless all who seek your help and
experience your unfailing protection.

Amen.
