God of Mercy and Compassion -

When I hesitate to act because of fear, be my strength.
When I question my existence, assure me.
When I want to show off my worth, humble me.
When I miss seeing the needs of others, awaken me.
When I forget the beauty of loving presence, remind me.
When I run away from a call to present, bring me back.

Holy Mother Mary,
we all rejoice with you today
on the feast of your glorious Assumption into heaven.
You have been taken up body and soul into heaven.
There, with your Divine Son,
you await our coming,
and prepare a place for us.
Mother Mary,
it is a great comfort to us to realize that your precious body,
the tabernacle of the infant Christ,
is now in heaven with Him.
Your being taken into heaven is also,
like the resurrection of Christ's body,
a pledge to us of the resurrection of our own bodies.
O most pure Virgin Mary,
help us to have great respect for these bodies of ours,
and for those of others because we recognize in them
the temple of the Holy Spirit,
and because we look forward to seeing each other,
body and soul,
with you and your Son Jesus Christ forever in heaven.

Amen.

Be the King, O Lord,
not only of the faithful who have never forsaken You,
but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned You,
grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house,
lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.

Be the King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions,
or whom discord keeps aloof
and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith,
so that soon there may be but one flock and one shepherd.

Be the King of all those who even now sit in the shadow of sin,
and refuse to step into the light of Your kingdom.
Look, finally, with eyes of pity upon Your chosen people;
and let Your Blood, descend upon them
in a cleansing flood of redemption and eternal life.

Oh Dear Jesus,
we are so far away from Your most pure and Sacred Heart.
As a family we need Your help.
Heal all the quarrels that exist
in our family due to our unforgiveness
and lack of love for You.
Heal our unbelieving and unconverted hearts
and lead us to Your Sacred Heart with love.
Unite us as a family
and remove all stain of sinfulness from our souls.
Help us to be a prayerful and loving family,
so that through our example
we may lead other souls to Your Most Sacred Heart.

August 12, 2018

O Immaculate Mother,
lead us to Heaven,
inflame us with the Divine Love,
let shine upon us that same light of glory
which You behold forever!
Let us see What You see and gaze upon Him in Trinity,
that we may share the fullness of Your Heart’s joy forever!
Let it be!

Amen.

Most sweet Jesus,
Redeemer of the human race,
look down upon us,
humbly prostrate before Your altar.

We are Yours and Yours we wish to be;
but to be more surely united with You,
behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today
to Your Most Sacred Heart.

Many, indeed, have never known You;
many, too, despising Your precepts,
have rejected You.

Have mercy on them all,
most merciful Jesus,
and draw them to Your Sacred Heart.

August 10, 2018

Oh most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
we come to you as a family
and consecrate ourselves to Your Sacred Heart.
Protect us through Your Most Precious Blood
and keep us pure and holy.

We give You our hearts Dearest Jesus,
and consecrate our family through the generations.
Through the prayers of our Dearest Mother Mary,
may we live this consecration every day of our lives.

Amen.

Loving Mary, Mother of Jesus and our mother too.
Thank you for always saying yes to God’s call.
We praise Jesus, the fruit of your yes.

Bless all women who are with child.
Help them see the great gift they carry.
May their response like yours be a yes to life.

Fill their hearts with joy and peace.
Walk with them as their child comes to birth.
Like you Mary, may mothers everywhere
ponder and treasure this gift in their hearts.

Amen

O Mary, Mary more beautiful than all creatures,
lovely after Jesus above all loves,
more dear than all created things,
gracious above every grace,
pity this miserable heart of mine;
miserable because it does not love you;
and it ought to love you.
You can inflame it with you holy love.
Turn, O Mary, your loving eyes upon me;
look at me, and draw me to you;
and grant that after God I may love no other but you,
most gracious, most amiable Mary,
Mother of Jesus, and my Mother.

I adore You, O my God,
present in the holy Eucharist,
as my Creator,
my Preserver,
and my Redeemer.
I offer You all that I have,
all that I am,
all that depends on me;
I offer You my mind to think of You,
my heart to love You;
my will to serve You;
my body to labor and suffer for Your love.
I am Yours,
I give myself;
I consecrate myself to You,
I abandon myself to You,
I wish to live and die for love of You.

At the Transfiguration, Father, You showed
Jesus in glory, a glimpse of what His disciples
would see in His risen life.

Bless us in our humanity,
with an awareness of Your presence,
leading us to share in Your divine life
even in our daily struggle.

Help us to deepen
our knowledge of the Law and the Prophets
channels of Your grace throughout history,
and signposts for our journey.

Amen.

August 5, 2018

O Lord, You received affronts
without number from Your blasphemers,
yet each day You free captive souls
from the grip of the ancient enemy.

You accepted Your scourging without murmur,
yet through your meditation
You deliver us from endless chastisements.

You endured ill-treatment of all kinds,
yet You want to give us a share
in the choirs of angels in glory everlasting.

You did not refuse to be crowned with thorns,
yet You save us from the wounds of sin.

In your thirst You accepted the bitterness of gall,
yet You prepare Yourself to fill us with eternal delights.

You kept silence under the derisive homage
rendered You by Your executioners,
yet You petition the Father for us
although You are his equal in Divinity.

You came to taste death,
yet You were the Life
and had come to bring it to the dead.

Amen.

O Immaculate Virgin Mary,
Mother of God and Queen of Heaven and Earth,
Through you shines the whole splendor
and magnificence of the Trinity!
O Morning Star, who has merited to usurp the name of the first fallen Star!
You gaze upon the wondrous abundance of the Divine Vision,
as the One closer to the Face of God than all creatures!
Rejoice, for you are more glorious than the Sun,
more beautiful than the Moon,
who shines more golden than the dawn,
more brightly than the stars.
O Immaculate Virgin,
you hold the Light of God in the palms of Your hands,
who beholds the Child Jesus, the Eternal Light,
in wondrous glory for all eternity!
Rejoice O Most Blessed Virgin,
for it is through you that all the Angels of Heaven
and all the Choirs of the Elect
art enlightened and filled with the Incomparable Radiance!

August 3, 2018

O Blessed Lady of the Fields,
who lived with and loved the rural folk of the village,
look down graciously upon the fields and pastures of this,
your adopted land.

Make our homes sanctuaries of Christ as was your home.
Make our fields fertile and abundant.

Help us to understand more fully the dignity of our toil
and the merit it acquires when offered through you to your Divine Son,
Jesus Christ, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
lives and reigns for ever and ever.

Amen.

August 2, 2018

Heavenly Father, You made the sunset
of my life more beautiful by unlocking the door
to eternal life through the death
and resurrection of Your Son.

Renew my faith, and prepare my heart
as I draw nearer to my heavenly home.

Help me to understand death
as Your messenger sent to lead me
into eternal life to be with You
and all those who love You
forever and ever.

Amen
